Direct Energy Solutions, a company focused on providing energy-efficient solutions, wanted to improve its lead generation and nurturing process. The challenge was to optimize their existing landing page to effectively capture leads from Facebook ads and build a nurturing funnel that encouraged further engagement. The goal was to capture initial information, then follow up with a double opt-in process to ensure a higher quality of leads and make it easier to follow up through phone calls.
1. Funnel Design and Lead Capture Strategy
To address the challenge, we designed a two-step lead capture funnel on the landing page.
First Step: Email Capture: The first layer of the funnel focused on capturing the email address of visitors. By offering an enticing call-to-action (CTA) on the landing page, we encouraged users to provide their email in exchange for valuable information or an offer related to energy solutions.
Second Step: Double Opt-In Process: Once the email was captured, the user was then directed to a double opt-in form. This step allowed us to request additional information, specifically the phone number, while confirming the user’s intention to receive follow-up communications.
2. Nurturing Leads Through the Funnel
The purpose of the funnel was to ensure that we didn’t just capture emails but also established a process to nurture the leads further:
Email Sequence: After capturing the email, an automated email sequence was set up to engage the leads, educate them about Direct Energy Solutions, and introduce them to available services.
Phone Follow-Up: By capturing the phone number via the double opt-in form, Direct Energy Solutions could follow up with the leads directly through calls, converting them into potential customers for their energy-efficient solutions.

Clear CTAs: The form’s CTAs were strategically placed and compelling, encouraging visitors to submit their information without feeling overwhelmed.
